Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8-hour shifts with overtime available. Day shifts, some projects may require evening shift. (Weekends as needed scheduled with notice)

Key Responsibilities of the Pipefitter Mechanic include:

  • Reads blueprints, specifications, and work orders to assess work required. Makes calculations and uses measuring devices for layout work.
  • Determines installation and repair methods based on blueprints, specifications, and work orders
  • Removes damaged, defective or obsolete pipes and pipe systems
  • Uses tools to measure, cut, bend, and thread lengths of pipe and to install and repair pipe systems
  • Inspects and tests installed systems and equipment to ensure proper working order, detect and repair leakages, and to ensure compliance with safety and municipal standards. Installs, cleans and replaces tanks, safety valves, air vents, pipe traps, pressure gauges, gaskets, filters, and fittings.
  • Operates specialized equipment and tools (e.g., cutters, hacksaws, torches, threaders) to cut, weld, solder, braze, and thread pipes to specification
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • 2 years minimum of experience as a Pipefitter mechanic or Jr Mechanic.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a valid driver's license
