Location & Flexibility 

Our Director, Delivery (SAP) role will be based remotely out of Canada & the United States. 

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Delivery Lead at the Director level to join our growing technology consulting team. This individual will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex SAP transformation programs across multiple industries including Telecommunications, Healthcare, Consumer Goods, etc. As a delivery leader, you will ensure high-quality execution, drive client satisfaction, and support continuous improvement of delivery standards and team performance on SAP engagements.

The candidate will play a critical role in overseeing end-to-end SAP projects, from initial planning and design through implementation, go-live, and post go-live support. This role requires deep delivery expertise across SAP platforms, strong client engagement management capabilities, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-impact environments.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of SAP programs, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
  • Serve as the primary delivery leader and escalation point for complex engagements.
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, milestone tracking, quality management, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between SAP consultants, architects, developers, QA, and client stakeholders.
  • Ensure execution aligns to delivery best practices, including Agile or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.

Client Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted delivery partner to clients, providing guidance on SAP implementation, roadmaps, and program execution.
  • Facilitate executive-level reporting, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders based on delivery excellence and transparency.
  • Provide input on delivery strategy and help shape the future phases of transformation programs.
  • Champion and participate in establishing strong project governance, executive sponsorship, and key decision-making across engagements
  • Guide clients through change management and long-term platform adoption.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and maintain quality delivery standards, processes, tools, and checkpoints throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Drive proactive identification of delivery challenges early and lead structured resolution efforts to minimize delivery risks.
  • Capture and implement lessons learned from each project to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the refinement of internal delivery methodologies, templates, and standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor project delivery teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Support onboarding and up-skilling of SAP resources aligned to evolving delivery needs (e.g., Cloud ERP, AI/ML, Data & Analytics).
  • Provide feedback and coaching to project team members, ensuring role clarity and accountability.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of SAP consulting and delivery experience, with a strong track record managing complex transformation programs end-to-end  including project planning, estimation, financial management, and solution architecture.
  • Demonstrated expertise across SAP functional and technical domains, including:
    • S/4HANA Migration and cloud adoption
    • Core SAP Business Modules
    • SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP
    • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
    • SAP Ariba and SuccessFactors
    • SAP BRIM
    • SAP Integration Tools (e.g., Signavio, LeanIX)
  • Strong delivery management skills, including resource planning, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience overseeing SAP programs across industries such as telecommunications, healthcare, and consumer goods.
  • Excellent executive presence and client-facing communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment is required.
  • SAP certifications and hands-on experience with S/4HANA or industry-specific SAP solutions are strongly preferred.

Annual Performance Bonus

This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus based on personal, division/business unit, and company performance. The range displayed is only the annual base salary. To maintain equity across the business, annual performance bonus targets are determined by job level, not individual circumstances.

Individual base salaries are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons determined during the interview process. Salary bands are periodically reviewed and updated based on market changes, internal needs, and industry trends. To maintain pay equity for team members, TELUS Digital conducts regular compensation audits.

Annual Base Salary Range (Performance Bonus Eligible)

$132,000 - $165,000 USD
