
Senior Analyst - US Indirect Tax

We are seeking a Senior Analyst – US Indirect Tax to support indirect tax compliance and operations for our US entities. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in managing tax filings, supporting audits, and helping implement cutting-edge tax technologies. You’ll partner with local finance teams, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepare and file a range of US indirect tax returns, including sales & use tax, gross receipts tax, commercial rent tax, and personal property tax.
- Manage monthly tax accruals and perform reconciliations of indirect tax accounts.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for indirect tax inquiries from local finance teams and external authorities.
- Handle and respond to tax notices and support audit activities, including compiling data and analysing transactions for auditor review.
- Collaborate with internal teams and 3rd-party vendors on the implementation and maintenance of tax technology solutions (e.g., tax engines).
- Assist with determining economic nexus and manage registration processes for new jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain an internal calendar of indirect tax filing deadlines and a database of relevant tax credentials, filings, and documentation.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives within the tax function.
- Support ad-hoc tax projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
What you'll need:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience in indirect tax compliance, preferably with a Big 4 or large public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of US indirect taxes, including nexus determination and multi-state filings.
- Experience with indirect tax software/tools along with Microsoft Excel and Strong Data management Skills (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
