People Operations Manager

Xometry is seeking a talented and experienced People Operations Manager to be the founding HR professional for our new Bangalore office. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader to build the HR function from the ground up, establish our local presence, and embed Xometry's global values and culture in a new market.
Responsibilities:
As the People Operations Manager for Xometry's Bangalore office, you will be a strategic partner and a hands-on operator. You will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive and productive work environment that aligns with our mission and values.
- Strategic HR Leadership: Act as the primary HR business partner for the leadership team in India. Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the local market while aligning with Xometry's global standards.
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Lead all recruitment efforts for the Bangalore office, from sourcing and interviewing to extending offers. Design and execute a best-in-class onboarding experience that ensures new hires are set up for success and are quickly integrated into Xometry's culture.
- Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as the go-to resource for all employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Develop and implement programs to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee compensation structures, payroll administration, and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant with local laws, and aligned with company budgets.
- Performance Management: Implement and manage Xometry's performance review cycles, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and career development.
- Compliance and Administration: Ensure the company is in full compliance with all Indian labor laws and regulations. Manage all HR administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Culture & Values Champion: Be a key advocate for Xometry's corporate culture, promoting our values of being customer-focused, action-oriented, results-driven, and innovative.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role, preferably within a fast-paced technology or startup environment.
- Proven experience in building an HR function from scratch in a new market is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of Indian labor law, statutory compliance, and payroll practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect HR initiatives to business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to be a hands-on operator while also thinking strategically.
- Experience with HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
