IT Support Network Engineer - Contractor

IT Support Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day end-user technical support for HelpDesk, systems, and network issues
- Manage IT asset management, IT hardware configuration and hardware/software deployment
- Create and maintain IT document
- Assist IT Engineer with IT Operational tasks
- Monitor and maximize the efficiency and security of current networks
- Troubleshoot network problems and maintain network availability, security, and performance
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices
- Maintain and create network documents
- Work closely with US IT teams, China Network team, and vendors to design and implement new network solutions
- Implementing disaster recovery procedures
- Maintain company network assets, IP address auditing, and network config backups
- Perform pen-test as required
- Network vendors and contract management
- Travel to SV/SD as needed
- Other IT related tasks and projects Manager assigns
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an IT support Engineer
- 5+ years of experience as a network administrator supporting mid-large size companies
- 5+ years of experience in planning, designing, and analyzing network
- 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and implementing network infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience supporting end users with network issues
- 3+ years of experience with systems support
- Strong understanding of security and networking best practices to protect company infrastructure
- Hands-on network hardware experience including server hardware, routers, switches, firewalls, IP cameras and phone
- Strong physical and software network troubleshooting skills for complex environment
- Solid working experience with various networking protocols
- Experience with various brands of network devices (Strong plus if familiar with H3C devices)
- Strong documentation and organizing skills
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal (Strong plus if bilingual in Mandarin)
- Great project management and time management skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Business awareness and great service attitude
- Great team player and ability to follow instructions
