Associate Director, Global Accounts Payable Shared Services

WHO YOU ARE:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Accounts Payable Shared Services to join our finance team at Zinnia. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and overseeing the global accounts payable team and ensuring accurate and timely payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in A/P operations, prior experience in Coupa implementation, experience in a fast-paced environment, and exceptional leadership abilities. This role will be the “face” of the Shared Service AP team, and must demonstrate a high degree of customer orientation to meet the needs of internal business partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Key member to implement the Company’s new procure to pay technology (Coupa)
  • Work with global team members to implement A/P process and policy that should be followed by all regions
  • Manage the A/P team to perform accurate and timely invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor inquiries
  • Partner with GL accounting team during the month-end close
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain strong internal control environment surrounding invoice and payment process
  • Lead the global A/P team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Build productive partnerships with all key stakeholders and customers of A/P across Zinnia organization
  • Ensure A/P team performs timely review and reconciliation of vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accuracy of account balances
  • Ensure preparation and analysis of accounts payable aging reports are timely performed to identify overdue payments and implementing strategies to improve cash flow
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in accounts payable management, implementing improvements as necessary

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or related roles, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Experience in Coupa implementation
  • Experience in working in the tech industry or a similar fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Experience in building a shared services team and managing teams in overseas locations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience using NetSuite and experience with AP workflows within our ERP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
