Our Merchant Experience and Commercial teams are passionate about delivering exceptional support, building strong partnerships and embedding Zip seamlessly into our merchants’ businesses.
As a Partner Success and Growth Manager, you will be the catalyst for merchant adoption and long term engagement. You’ll manage a portfolio of strategic and marquee merchants, guiding them through onboarding, activation and ongoing growth. From integration to promotion strategy, you’ll ensure every partner is set up for success and confident using Zip to its full potential.
What you’ll own
- Be the first point of contact for a marquee merchant partner and a cohort of strategic merchants, delivering an end to end service in collaboration with Marketing, Product, Sales and Merchant Operations.
- Drive merchant growth across key lifecycle stages, including 30, 60 and 90 day engagement plans to increase activation, transacting behaviour and commercial performance.
- Lead onboarding and integration support, including technical validation of merchant and customer application flows, activation of dealer and franchise networks, and training on Zip’s product proposition and best practice integrations.
- Deliver personalised training sessions and scalable engagement initiatives that upskill merchants and build confidence in using Zip.
- Execute promotional campaigns and growth initiatives, including cross sell opportunities and optimisation of best practice integration and point of sale experiences.
- Take ownership of your merchant enquiries knowledge base, developing FAQs and self serve resources that empower merchants to resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Champion merchant feedback, partnering with Commercial, Finance and Product and Engineering teams to streamline processes and improve the merchant experience.
- Provide clear reporting on pipeline, territory performance and key commercial KPIs, identifying opportunities for product or technical enhancements that address merchant pain points.
- Lead by example, modelling outstanding merchant support and building trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Proven experience in a commercial sales or account management role, with at least 5 years experience and a track record of delivering strong commercial outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Strong understanding of payments, credit, eCommerce or retail markets, with knowledge of merchant workflows and operational processes.
- Exceptional relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations and training sessions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance, identify growth opportunities and execute scalable engagement strategies.
- Excellent planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- A proactive mindset, comfortable speaking up with ideas and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to solve complex merchant issues, manage escalations and navigate internal processes with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Salesforce is beneficial but not essential.
- A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
