We’re looking for an experienced Technical Training Architect to join Zscaler Cyber Academy. This is a role based in San Francisco Bay Area, USA. Reporting to the Head of Technical Training Content Development, you will be responsible for:
- Gathering customer training requirements to create long-term education solutions, and work with the Product Management team to understand new product introductions and major enhancements, analyzing their impact on the curriculum landscape for conceptual and hands-on training, and architecting these changes into overall curriculum plans
- Collaborating with internal enablement, lab support, Support, Customer Success, GTM, and Community teams to establish a robust lab environment for customer-facing content and hands-on labs, gathering customer feedback and addressing knowledge gaps
- Leading Job Task Analysis efforts to ensure courses align with product direction and learner needs, aiming for a 25% improvement in course relevance
- Enabling content developers by providing knowledge transfers, real-world scenarios, and support in establishing lab environments for hands-on practice, to produce high-quality modular and interactive courses
- Delivering training with hands-on labs tailored to diverse audiences, particularly at corporate conferences/events as needed, and stay informed about Zscaler products and cybersecurity advancements to provide appropriate education solutions
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5+ years of practical (hands-on) technical experience in cybersecurity or networking SaaS roles (e.g., Content Architect/Developer, instructor, network engineer, support engineer, Security Admin, Pre-Sales Engineer), and 7+ years delivering technical learning materials with proven outstanding feedback
- Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to optimize user-story-based content designs, to perform Job Task Analysis (JTA), to enhance learning experiences by analyzing learner data across various platforms, identify knowledge gaps, and recommend personalized and engaging training content
- Demonstrated expertise in practical implementation and real-world use cases for developing effective hands-on labs. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and interactive learning delivery tools
- Ability to work effectively with global teams across different time zones and skill sets
- Willingness to travel up to 30% or as needed
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, or Node.js)
- Experience creating modular and API-based learning solutions
- Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$105,000 - $150,000 USD
