The Role
We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our Order Management System (OMS) team in Trading!
We’re building a scalable, tax-efficient trading & rebalancing platform for wealth management firms of all sizes. The platform will target sophisticated rebalancing strategies across equities, mutual funds and fixed income products and send trades to be completed in the market.
We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Engineering manager who will build an inclusive team culture, empower engineers to succeed and foster an environment that creates high quality engineering processes and product delivery. You are passionate about technology and can amplify your technical knowledge via your team. You’ll work closely with our product and design teamsto deliver great products for our clients.
Our engineering team primarily works in Java, Python and React, but we don’t require experience with any specific tool set. We use Agile methodologies to deliver impactful business outcomes.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $160,000 - $250,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do
- Hiring, coaching and mentoring a team of software engineers.
- Driving software delivery and improving engineering processes
- Collaborating cross functionally with product owners designers, programme managers and other Engineering leads to deliver impactful business outcomes for our clients
- Using your technical knowledge to help engineers develop simple, pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
- Highlight team-specific activities, followed by how this role will interact with other teams and groups
Who You Are
- 10+ years experience as a professional software engineer with at least 3+ years leading successful teams.
- Experience in managing / working in global team set up
- Extensive experience building resilient and scalable systems and building intuitive, feature-rich user experiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers.
- A strong, hands-on technical approach and a desire to use your technical expertise via your team.
- Ability to drive delivery within goal-setting frameworks such as OKRs.
- Strong AWS knowledge and architectural experience.
- Excitement about building something foundational for the financial services industry is a must.
- Exposure to industry practices in financial services is a plus.
- Should have experience working with Trading / Order Management System
