Role: Inside Sales Engineer - Pine Brook, New Jersey

As an important member of our Sales team, your main responsibilities will include quoting, designing, ordering, and tracking HVAC equipment and systems for engineering firms and mechanical contractors in the NYC Metro area, Long Island, and Westchester. You will work closely with Outside Salespeople to help speed up deals and improve efficiency. This role will give you the chance to be involved in some of the most exciting and challenging building projects in New York City and beyond!

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the outside sales team to ensure smooth communication and coordination on client projects, enhancing overall sales strategies and customer service.
  • Review design plans to generate accurate pricing estimates, focusing initially on learning our products and processes, with the opportunity to take on more complex tasks as you gain proficiency.
  • Develop detailed proposals that include accurate pricing and technical specifications to aid contractors in their decision-making.
  • Utilize selection software to design customized HVAC systems that meet the specific needs of engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage the entire order process, working with manufacturers to ensure timely processing and delivery of HVAC equipment while tracking orders and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Implement a follow-up system to monitor order statuses, ensuring delivery within lead times and promptly resolving any delays.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project, providing regular updates and addressing inquiries to enhance satisfaction.
  • Prepare documentation packets that detail on-site equipment specifications, maintenance guides, and operational instructions for effective project execution.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions for clients on equipment operation and maintenance to ensure they are well-prepared to use the systems provided.

Requirements:

  • Ability to tackle project challenges head-on with problem-solving skills and a practical approach to finding solutions.
  • A team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and working towards common goals in a collaborative environment.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, manufacturers, and clients.
  • A Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred to provide essential knowledge for HVAC design and operations.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the HVAC industry and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit are a plus, assisting in effective communication with design and engineering teams.

Estimated compensation: $65,000-$78,000/yr with flexibility based on experience and skills.
