About AppDirect

Become a digital, global citizen and enable the new generation of digital entrepreneurs around the world.  AppDirect offers a subscription commerce platform to sell any product, through any channel, on any device - as a service.  We power millions of subscriptions worldwide for organizations.  We do this by our values-driven culture—one that enables you to Be Seen, Be Yourself, and Do Your Best Work.

About You

As Senior Manager of Web & AI Experience, you’ll be at the forefront of crafting compelling digital experiences for our customers, partners, and stakeholders. You’ll blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution—some days building a roadmap that balances business priorities with team capacity, other days diving deep into technical challenges or enabling others to bring their ideas to life through vibe-coded solutions.

You’ll lead a small, agile team of developers responsible for our customer experience applications and website roadmap. You’ll transform your team into having an AI-first mentality— from embedding AII into customer experiences to accelerating your team’s outputs with AI. You will leverage AppDirect’s proprietary AI platform and leading vibe-coding environments to unlock the creative and technical potential of technical and non-technical teams and accelerate our overall time-to-market.

This role is highly cross-functional. You’ll collaborate closely with technical teams, marketing, product, and leadership to deliver measurable, strategic outcomes. You’re not just keeping up with technology—you’re pushing it forward.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

Build our digital strategy

  • Own our digital front door – Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our corporate website and customer-facing web applications, ensuring they align with business goals and deliver measurable outcomes;
  • Build for performance and scale – Write sustainable code, improve SEO, site speed, accessibility, and conversion through experimentation, testing, and AI-powered optimization;
  • Bridge strategy and execution – Translate business and brand objectives into actionable front-end initiatives. Collaborate closely with design, content, product, and engineering teams to bring ideas to life;
  • Lead with empathy and innovation – Champion emotionally intelligent, “vibe-coded” experiences that resonate with users and reflect our brand’s personality;
  • Drive content and discoverability – Lead web content strategy and standards. Ensure content is audience-first, optimized for conversion, and discoverable by both humans and AI systems.

How you’ll do it

  • Stay ahead of the curve – Experiment boldly with creativity and adapt quickly to keep our digital presence future-ready. Monitor emerging trends in web tech, AI, and digital behavior;
  • Integrate AI into everything – Identify, test, and implement AI tools to accelerate development, content creation, prototyping, and personalization. Lead the charge on AI-assisted workflows and LLM-aware SEO;
  • Advance our design system – Partner with designers to evolve our component library in Figma and ensure consistency, usability, and responsiveness across all digital touchpoints;
  • Empower your team – Manage and mentor a high-performing team of developers working with modern frameworks like Next.js and tools like Sanity CMS, and Storybook. Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience leading web application development, digital product management, or content architecture—ideally within B2B SaaS environments;
  • A builder’s mindset—curious, iterative, and energized by emerging technologies and new ways of working;
  • Proven success managing roadmaps and leading cross-functional initiatives;
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing developers, collaborating across product and marketing teams, and managing senior-level stakeholders;
  • Deep familiarity with modern web technology— including frameworks like React, Next.js, headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity), and component libraries (e.g., Storybook);
  • Hands-on experience with performance optimization, technical SEO, structured data, and LLM-aware content strategies;
  • Comfort working with or integrating AI tools into development workflows, content generation, and UX personalization. With experience using vibe-coding tools (Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, or simply LLM-driven coding) considered essential.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
