We are looking for a Windows Desktop Specialist Manager to join our Corporate Technology team.

As a Windows Desktop Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise desktop solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Windows-based environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in endpoint management, security, and virtualization, while also providing leadership and guidance to the desktop support team. A deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and security tools, will be essential. Additionally, proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and experience with virtualization solutions will be highly valued. Your role will involve driving innovation, improving system performance, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise desktop solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for desktop management, automation, and endpoint security.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the desktop engineering team, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Windows-based desktop environments.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex desktop-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
  • Manage enterprise-wide endpoint solutions, including Microsoft Intune, ensuring compliance and security across all devices.
  • Implement and manage Zero Trust security solutions such as Zscaler and CrowdStrike.
  • Develop and enforce policies for patch management, software distribution, and device compliance.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance system performance and security.
  • Optimize existing desktop environments by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best-in-class solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation and SOPs for desktop management.
  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on new tools, technologies, and best practices.

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in desktop engineering, support, or IT infrastructure roles, and good to have 2-3 years’ experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, and virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Endpoint Management: Proficiency with Microsoft Intune and other modern device management tools.
  • Security Knowledge: Familiarity with zero trust solutions like Zscaler & CrowdStrike, and infrastructure management applications like ManageEngine.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and deployment.
  • Exposure to Zero Trust solutions such as Zscaler and CrowdStrike.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) deployment, imaging, and configuration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, security policies, and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and configuration management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
