Solutions Consultant
Job Overview
As a Solutions Consultant you will be an integral member of the AvidXchange Growth Team, working in tandem with the Sales and Channels representatives to meet revenue objectives. As a trusted member of this team, you will add value throughout the sales process in the areas of discovery analysis, solution positioning, in depth product demonstrations, and transition to relationship management. This position is expected to support the sales team by providing product expertise and providing Industry and/or technology expertise related to AvidXchange’s suite(s) of product(s).
What you'll do:
Drive Sales Enablement and Revenue Growth
- Support the sales team by aligning Solutions Consultant efforts with high-impact opportunities, prioritizing based on potential productivity and profitability gains, or as directed by Sales Management.
- Increase company revenue by supporting the close of sales opportunities and generating payments and bookings.
- Reduce fallout opportunities transitioned back to Sales by setting accurate expectations and ensuring solution alignment.
Deliver High-Impact Product Demonstrations
- Develop, present, and deliver compelling, tailored demonstrations of AvidXchange solutions to prospects daily.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of AvidXchange’s applications to all stakeholders, including line-of-business managers and C-level executives.
Create and Maintain Sales Enablement Content
- Own the creation and upkeep of scalable content (videos, decks, demo environments) to support the sales cycle and internal training.
- Maintain demo environments that reflect the latest product capabilities and integration paths.
Champion Product Expertise and Feedback Loops
- Serve as a product champion by maintaining strong relationships with Product Marketing, Product Development, and Relationship Management teams.
- Communicate solution descriptions and Voice of Prospect feedback to Product Marketing and Development to influence roadmap and messaging.
Support Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Product, and Marketing to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and customer feedback.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance product-market fit and customer satisfaction.
Lead Industry Engagement and Thought Leadership
- Attend industry events and represent AvidXchange professionally to prospects, customers, and partners.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in key verticals (e.g., Real Estate, FinServe, Media) and contribute to thought leadership through webinars, blogs, or speaking engagements.
Support Proposal and Compliance Processes
- Complete RFPs and client compliance questionnaires as assigned by Sales Management or the Director of Solutions Consulting.
Stay Current on Product and Market Trends
- Stay informed of AvidXchange product announcements and translate updates into impactful product presentations.
- Leverage analytics tools to provide actionable insights to prospects and internal stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
- Experience leveraging a CRM tool for report generation and sales tracking.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 3+ years of consulting or solution consulting experience (business-to-business) with a focus on middle market/strategic customer segment.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or Equivalent Experience
- Background in working with either Mid-Market or Enterprise size customers.
- Travel is required (up to 50%, local and overnight when appropriate). – video conferencing an alternative
