About the Company
Health-e Workforce Solutions (HeWS), a Banyan operating company, partners with health services across Australia to improve how they manage their workforce. Our software and consultancy services help leaders:

Job Summary
The Consultant will partner with health services to deliver workforce profiling, modelling, budgeting, and strategic insights. The role requires developing subject-matter expertise in HeWS software to support users, test features, create guides, and deliver training. Consultants directly support hospitals and health agencies to optimize staffing, balance budgets, and implement safe workforce strategies.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Budget builds and cost analysis: Analyse and forecast staffing expenditure across departments and programs; align FTE, NHPPD, and budget frameworks.
- Workforce profiling & scenario modelling: Build staffing models based on activity, service levels, and budget constraints; run “what if” scenarios.
- Education & training: Deliver workshops, onboarding, and super user training; create educational resources.
- Client support: Provide frontline support, coaching, and triage for queries; champion best practice in HeWS platform use.
- Software implementation: Support configuration, data validation, and rollouts; collaborate with client project teams.
- Reporting & dashboards: Develop executive-ready reports and visualizations for managers and boards.
- Product enablement & quality: Execute UAT/test scripts, document processes, and produce how-to guides; collect user feedback to inform improvements.
- New project support: Contribute to scoping, setup, and delivery of new implementations and pilots.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Background in health, finance, business, operations, or HR within a hospital or health service environment.
- Strong Excel and data interpretation skills; ability to quickly learn new software.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills—able to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong numeracy, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement experience (NUMs, planners, finance, executives).
- Detail orientation in documentation, testing, and process design.
- Curiosity and growth mindset with eagerness to master the product.
Qualifications
- Degree or certifications in Health Care, Business, Finance, or HR (advantageous but not essential).
- Nice to have: Understanding of FTE, NHPPD, staffing ratios, and nursing/hospital services.
