Senior IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

Location: HQ Toronto, Hybrid (2-3days in office)

Position overview

Blue Moon Metals is seeking Senior / Lead IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support the organization’s core IT infrastructure and cloud environment.

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable systems across a growing, international organization. The role offers an exciting career progression pathway with Blue Moon.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments
• Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability across all environments
• Contribute to IT planning and strategy execution  
• Technical lead for Cloud Systems in Microsoft 365 environment (EntraID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
• Implement and enforce IT security best practices, including access controls, monitoring, and compliance
• Lead infrastructure-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and cloud platforms
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures
• Mentor and support junior team members, including Student Interns
• Coordinate day to day activities to support partners

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering roles
• Diploma in Information Technology or a related field (minimum requirement)  
• Strong hand on experience designing, deploying and maintaining virtualised Microsoft server technologies and cloud environments (VMware, Hyper-V, M365)
• Demonstratable success in supporting a global hybrid user base.
• Strong technical experience with designing, building and managing endpoint infrastructure solutions supporting Windows, MacOS & IOS devices
• Experience with designing and maintaining identity solutions (EntraID, SSO, MFA, Passwordless)
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and initiatives and manage third party solution providers and consultants
