We’re hiring a Solutions Architect with deep hands-on experience in Azure Databricks and recent experience migrating from Informatica to modern data architectures. In this role, you’ll lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms—primarily in Azure—and guide clients through complex transformations involving ETL/ELT, analytics, and cloud-native best practices.
You’ll work closely with data engineers, data scientists, BI teams, and stakeholders to ensure each solution is technically sound, future-ready, and aligned with business needs. If you’re energized by staying ahead of the curve, building scalable systems, and driving architectural decisions that matter, we’d love to talk.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and architect for data platform modernization efforts, with a strong emphasis on Databricks implementation and Informatica-to-Databricks migration.
- Design and deliver scalable data solutions covering ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and analytics using tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Azure Databricks.
- Provide hands-on guidance for replatforming Informatica pipelines into modern cloud-native solutions, with attention to performance, cost optimization, and long-term maintainability.
- Develop prototypes, POCs, and solution blueprints to validate architecture and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Lead and mentor technical teams in data engineering, analytics, and cloud architecture—fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
- Partner with clients and internal teams to translate business problems into technical strategies, balancing speed with scalability.
- Contribute to presales activities and internal enablement: white papers, technical blogs, presentations, etc.
- Stay current with new releases and best practices within the Databricks and Azure ecosystem, and help inform company-wide architecture standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Azure preferred)—including building pipelines, optimizing notebooks/jobs, and managing compute environments.
- Proven experience leading or supporting Informatica migrations—able to understand legacy ETL logic and redesign pipelines for modern cloud-native environments.
- Deep understanding of SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing patterns.
- Strong command of Azure data services: Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, and Azure Storage.
- Demonstrated experience leading architecture discussions and mentoring engineers across disciplines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a continuous learning mindset and a passion for new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, ARM).
- Experience contributing to presales, community engagement, or technical writing is a plus.
- Background in data governance, security, and cost optimization strategies in Azure is highly desirable.
