The Manager of Government and Airport Affairs manages Breeze Airways’ existing and potential airport cost obligations, and incentives. This is accomplished through the detailed understanding of agreements with airports, and local partners. Further, this role helps establish and adhere to company standards for presence in an airport, with local service providers, and local partners. Additionally, this role manages partnership, cost abatement, and other incentive support with local, state, and federal governments as well as relevant corporate entities.
Here's what you'll do
- Ensures accurate cost records and keeps the records up to date. Tests and identifies opportunities for cost savings at airports and with local partners.
- Maintain a critical understanding of the airport rates and charges models in effect and seek cost saving measures.
- Maintain effective contracts with local, state, and federal officials as well as other corporate entities to alleviate cost, decrease or eliminate barriers to growth, enhance sustainability, and improve operations.
- Tracks monthly costs and production activity to provide insight into areas needing cost reduction and process or profit improvement.
- Listen to and implement the planning team’s vision for airport expansion, as well as advise the planning Team on potential business opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Breeze Finance and Accounting Team to ensure all airport use and lease agreements conform to budget standards and are properly documented
- Other duties as assigned.
Here's what you'll need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four (4) year college or university. Preferred in business, economics, or finance
- JD Degree from an ABA-accredited law school or master’s degree preferred
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel as needed up to 25%
