In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.

What you’ll do

As the Senior Director, Integrated HCP Engagement, you will define and lead a more coordinated and scalable approach to Medical Affairs engagement—connecting field-based interactions, educational initiatives, congress activity, and thoughtfully applied digital channels into a cohesive strategy.

A key focus of this role is to expand scientific exchange and build more tailored, accessible educational experiences for healthcare professionals, ensuring we meet HCPs where they are and support their evolving needs.

Initially focused on Skeletal Dysplasia (QED), with potential to support the Endocrinology Affiliate (Calcilytix), this role is critical to advancing late-stage development programs and strengthening launch readiness.

You will serve as a strategic partner to Medical leadership, working across HQ, Field Medical, and Scientific Communications to expand reach, deepen engagement, and ensure consistency and impact across all external interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement Strategy & Capability Development

  • Define and lead a coordinated HCP engagement strategy that connects:

    • Field Medical interactions

    • Educational programming (live and virtual)

    • Congress planning and follow-up engagement

  • Introduce and scale new approaches to scientific exchange, including:

    • Broader use of virtual and asynchronous engagement

    • More personalized delivery of educational content based on HCP needs and roles

  • Establish clear ways of working and alignment across teams to ensure consistent execution

  • Support the evolution from reactive engagement to a more intentional and strategic model

QED: Expand and Strengthen Scientific Exchange

  • Expand and diversify the external expert network beyond current core KOLs

  • Build relationships with emerging thought leaders and additional centers of excellence

  • Extend scientific exchange beyond traditional 1:1 interactions while maintaining depth and rigor

  • Strengthen integration of congress activities with ongoing engagement efforts

  • Ensure consistency of scientific narrative across HQ Medical, Field Medical, and Scientific Communications

  • Implement structured approaches to insight capture and synthesis

Calcilytix: Build Engagement Infrastructure

  • Develop and execute a structured expert engagement strategy, including:

    • Deep partnerships with KOLs and specialized centers

    • Coordinated cross-functional planning

  • Build a targeted HCP education strategy for referrers:

    • PCPs, pediatricians, ER physicians, and community endocrinologists

  • Design tailored educational approaches that:

    • Reflect differences in HCP role, experience, and clinical setting

    • Focus on disease recognition, diagnostic pathways, and appropriate referral

  • Deliver education through a mix of in-person, virtual, and scalable formats

  • Define metrics to assess reach, engagement quality, and educational impact

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with:

    • HQ Medical Directors

    • Field Medical/MSL leadership

    • Scientific Communications

    • Clinical Development and other stakeholders

  • Align on engagement priorities, content strategy, and execution plans

  • Ensure efforts are coordinated, proactive, and aligned to program needs

  • Influence without authority to drive high-quality execution across teams

Where You’ll Work

This is either a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration 2–3x per week in our San Francisco office, or a U.S.-based remote role requiring periodic travel to the office.

Travel up to 40–50% is expected for congresses, KOL engagements, advisory boards, and internal meetings.

Who You Are

  • MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent with 12+ years of experience, including leadership within Medical Affairs and/or clinical development (biotech/pharma)

  • Experience in rare disease and/or endocrinology; skeletal dysplasia experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to build and evolve engagement strategies, not just execute within existing models

  • Experience developing educational programs and broader scientific engagement approaches

  • Strong collaborator with experience working across HQ and field teams in a matrixed environment

  • Strategic thinker who can translate complex science into clear, actionable engagement plans

  • Strong communication skills and understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks
