Account Director - SEO / Paid Campaign

Opportunity 

Brunswick Group is looking to expand its growing Digital practice with a Digital Executive or Account Director to join the team in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for someone currently managing paid digital campaigns across Google PPC and social media and who is eager to transition into and / or learn more about SEO. 

This role offers a great opportunity for a digital campaign professional to broaden their expertise and transition into corporate communications-based SEO while contributing to a leading strategic advisory firm. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage paid digital campaigns (Google PPC, and social media paid amplification campaigns). 
  • Create reports and deliver insights on paid campaigns both internally and to clients. 
  • Support the SEO team with reporting and analysis while learning about corporate comms SEO. 
  • Collaborate with digital and communications teams to align paid media strategies with various workflows.  
  • Prepare well-written, organized and thoughtful reports and advice notes on SEO.
  • Express a point of view in a thoughtful manner; able to analyse and distil complex information.

 Required Knowledge and Skills 

  • 3–5 years of proven SEO experience, preferably in an agency or corporate communications environment
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Hands-on experience fully managing paid campaigns on Google PPC and social media platforms. 
  • Strong understanding of SEO tools. 
  • Ability to analyze digital performance data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly. 
  • Adaptable and able to operate in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. 
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn. 
  • Strong research and analytical skills. 
  • Willingness to take initiative and seek out learning opportunities. 
  • Broader experience with corporate social media and SEO. 
  • Interest in the broader fields of communications, business, or financial issues.
