Position Title: Secure AV / SIPRNet Support Engineer

Security Clearance: Active Secret or Higher

Location: Alexandria, VA

(Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.)

 

Summary:

C3EL is seeking a Secure Audio/Video (AV) / SIPRNet Support Engineer to provide technical, administrative, and end-user support for enterprise secure AV and Video Conferencing (VC) systems operating within a classified Department of Homeland Security/Department of Defense environment.

The successful candidate will support the operation, configuration, maintenance, cybersecurity compliance, and troubleshooting of enterprise SIPRNet video conferencing endpoints. This position requires a combination of AV/VTC technical expertise, SIPRNet/classified-environment experience, cybersecurity compliance knowledge, and customer-facing technical support skills.

The position will support both traditional secure video conferencing technologies and evolving collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact for secure enterprise AV/VTC systems and end users.
  • Monitor, maintain, configure, update, and troubleshoot SIPRNet-connected video conferencing devices and supporting AV systems.
  • Perform initial setup, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of secure AV/VTC endpoints.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, configuration, and interoperability issues affecting AV/VTC services.
  • Provide direct technical assistance to users experiencing secure conferencing or AV-related issues.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel, vendors, manufacturers, and third-party support organizations when escalation is required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and configuration management of deployed SIPRNet AV/VTC systems.
  • Apply approved operating system updates, firmware/software updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs).
  • Identify and remediate Information Assurance and cybersecurity vulnerabilities affecting secure AV endpoints.
  • Maintain AV/VTC endpoint configurations in accordance with Government cybersecurity and Information Assurance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and configuration information for enterprise SIPRNet AV devices, including location, manufacturer/model, software/firmware version, compliance status, deployment information, and site points of contact.
  • Support Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Rooms technologies as they are introduced into the secure enterprise AV environment.
  • Maintain required technical documentation, configuration records, procedures, and status information.
  • Participate in technical and progress meetings and assist in resolving emerging technical issues.
  • Safeguard classified and sensitive Government information and comply with all applicable security policies and procedures.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Experience supporting AV, VTC, unified communications, or collaboration systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting video conferencing endpoints and associated AV hardware/software.
  • Experience working within a SIPRNet or other classified network environment.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity and Information Assurance requirements applicable to Government information systems.
  • Experience applying or supporting DISA STIG/SRG compliance, security patching, software/firmware updates, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software components of enterprise AV/VTC systems.
  • Strong understanding of IP-based communications and basic network troubleshooting concepts.
  • Ability to interact directly with Government end users and provide professional technical support.
  • Ability to document technical issues, configurations, maintenance actions, and resolutions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Government network access.
  • Ability to maintain eligibility for access to classified systems and facilities throughout employment.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting SIPRNet AV/VTC endpoints.
  • Experience supporting secure conferencing systems for DoD, DHS, U.S. Coast Guard, or another Federal agency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Experience with enterprise VTC platforms, codecs, cameras, displays, microphones, DSPs, control systems, and related AV technologies.
  • Familiarity with DISA cybersecurity requirements and secure endpoint hardening.
  • Experience performing vulnerability remediation and maintaining STIG-compliant AV/VTC configurations.
  • Experience supporting remote configuration and administration of geographically dispersed AV/VTC endpoints.
  • Experience maintaining enterprise equipment inventories and configuration baselines.
  • Current DoD 8140/8570-aligned cybersecurity certification, such as Security+, is desirable where applicable to assigned system access responsibilities.

 

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
