The opportunity...
We are seeking a Senior Manager - Workday HCM, to oversee Workday HCM strategy, system configurations, and optimization while managing a team of Workday specialists. This role requires strong functional expertise in Workday HCM and leadership skills to support HR, IT, and business users in a US time zone. The ideal candidate will drive Workday implementations, process enhancements, and system governance to improve HR operations and employee experience.
What You'll Do...
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Workday HCM Analysts, Administrators, and Specialists.
- Act as the primary Workday HCM escalation point for HR, IT, and business users in the US time zone.
- Partner with HR and IT leadership to prioritize system enhancements and upgrades.
- Ensure team alignment with HRIS and business goals.
Workday HCM System Administration & Optimization
- Own and manage Workday HCM configurations, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Talent Management.
- Review and validate business processes, security roles, and organizational structures.
- Monitor and improve data integrity, compliance, and governance within Workday.
- Ensure Workday supports global HR needs while focusing on US-based configurations.
Workday Enhancements, Testing & Releases
- Lead and has hands on experience on implementing at least two merit, bonus, stock, commission planning on workday globally
- Lead and has hands on experience on implementing out at least two US and UK open enrollment on workday
- Lead Workday releases, system upgrades, and testing.
- Drive change management, training, and user adoption for new Workday features.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to implement Workday best practices.
Reporting & Compliance
- Develop and maintain Workday Advanced Reports, Calculated Fields, and Dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with US labor laws, data security, and HR policies.
- Partner with IT and legal teams for Workday security audits and system governance.
Collaboration & Vendor Management
- Work with Workday AMS partners and external vendors to implement enhancements.
- Act as the HRIS representative in strategic Workday discussions with senior leadership.
- Drive cross-functional Workday projects with HR, IT, Payroll, and Finance teams.
Who you Are...
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of Workday HCM experience, including system configuration and administration.
- 2+ years of team leadership or managerial experience in an HRIS/HR Tech environment.
- Strong knowledge of Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Security, and Business Processes.
- Hands-on experience with Workday reporting, security, and integrations (EIB, PECI, APIs).
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across HR, IT, and Finance.
- Strong problem-solving ability and experience leading Workday projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday HCM Certification or additional Workday module certifications.
- Experience managing Workday global and US-specific configurations.
- Prior experience with Workday Prism, Extend, or Adaptive Planning is a plus.

US Pay Range
$139,400 - $264,500 USD
