EMT Instructor
Coho Integrated Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified EMT Instructor to join our team at the Navy Medicine Training Support Command, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training, ensuring students are prepared to provide critical care in various emergency medical situations.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Fulfills EMT educational program administrative requirements, including calculation and submission of grades, maintenance of program, course, and student/participant records and preparation and presentation of data and reports.
- Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Assess the accomplishments of students regularly and provide progress reports as required.
- Adheres to ethical, behavioral and professional standards.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Citizenship:
- Proof of US Citizenship is required to work on this contract.
- Education/Certifications:
- Possess a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or higher or the ability to obtain certification training within 90 days of employment. Successful certification must be completed within one year of employment. The program and NMTSC shall facilitate course attendance and opportunity to obtain this certification.
- Possess a current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Instructor certification or higher or the ability to obtain TCCC Instructor certification within 90 days of employment. The program shall facilitate course attendance and opportunity to obtain this certification.
- Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification or the ability to obtain BLS Instructor certification within 30 days of employment. The program shall facilitate course attendance and opportunity to obtain this certification.
- ACLS, PALS, CPR (preferred but not required).
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in direct patient care either in patient or outpatient basis.
- Instructors must have recent instructor experience and have completed within the past (5) years, or be able to complete, a military service approved instructor training course.
