The Manager IT Applications' responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with Commercial business team gathering requirements to align technology with business strategy and goals.
  • Extensive knowledge of energy trading and risk management processes across front, middle, and back-office functionalities.
  • Manages the team and models behavior and service standards. Ensures that service expectations are understood by the team. Promotes and strengthens employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, and workplace safety. Performs employee evaluations and career development plans.
  • Develops and supports effective team interactions through open and honest communication. Supports relationships that create an environment where individuals and team members learn and grow professionally.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and support of systems, processes, and technologies that comprise EQT’s Application portfolio.  This individual will establish strong relationships with partners in IT and EQT’s business functions to create value across the organization through efficient, innovative, and proactive solution design. This position requires a dynamic and technically proficient individual that will thrive in an Agile IT environment.
  • Execute all aspects of EQT’s Agile IT environment which includes planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborating with team members and leaders across departments on strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to create and implement industry leading solutions.
  • Demonstrated successful project leadership skills.
  • Manage third-party vendors.
  • Manage Commercial IT Budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Manage and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, engineering, math, science or a closely related technical field.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience working in IT.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising application implementations and project teams.
  • Experience with Openlink Endur suite of products.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Experience in creating, vetting, and executing Statements of Work (SOWs) for technical projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with managed service providers and other technological vendors.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with developing ETRM product customizations/extensions such as business rules, reports, contract templates, invoice templates, system processes etc.
  • Solid business understanding of trade lifecycle of different asset classes such as Crude, Refined products, Natural gas, NGLs, Power, LNG, etc.
  • Good understanding of physical and financial instruments – Purchase, Sale, BuySell, logistics, Blending, Inventory, Futures, Swaps, Options etc.
  • Good functional understanding of all modules of an ETRM product – Contracts/trading, Scheduling, Risk, Accounting, Credit.
  • Deep understanding of ETRM product core system architecture, APIs, data model and system processes.
  • Experience with integration of ETRM products with other enterprise systems.
  • Experience in implementing Cloud technologies.

 

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states:  California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee.
