About the role

As a Senior Technical Implementation Specialist, you will be a key technical resource responsible for the seamless and efficient onboarding of new NA Education clients onto our core products, with a focus on integrations, rostering, and SSO. You will work closely with our clients' technical stakeholders to understand their unique environments, configure our platform, ensure successful integration with their existing systems, and troubleshooting/solving complex technical issues with district level IT administrators. A strong understanding of database technologies, particularly PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL, is critical for this role as you will be involved in data migrations, integrations, and troubleshooting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the technical aspects of the customer integrations process, ensuring smooth and timely implementations.
  • Collaborate with customer’s technical stakeholders to understand requirements and develop tailored integrations plans that can be included as part of the overall Implementation process.
  • Data analysis and connections to help identify the initial problem connections, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Complete End of School and Back to School integration activities for existing integration customers
  • Develop and maintain data integration processes between our platform and client systems, leveraging APIs and database connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the implementation process, including database-related challenges.
  • Configure and customize our products to meet specific client needs and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to integrations processes, data mapping, rostering, and SSO.
  • Work closely with other Implementation Specialists and Customer Success Management team to ensure consistency in Implementation journey and ongoing support.
  • Stay up-to-date with our platform's technical updates, new features, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our implementation processes and methodologies as it relates to Integrations, Rostering, and SSO.
  • Potentially participate in pre-sales technical discussions to assess client technical requirements.

Essential Criteria 

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical implementation, solutions engineering, or similar role within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with relational databases, with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience with data migration tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with data integration concepts and technologies (e.g., APIs, ETL processes).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise clients.  
  • A proactive and customer-centric approach.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in the education technology (EdTech) industry.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL scripting).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with CRM or other enterprise software systems.
