Job Summary

We’re looking for a sports-obsessed, internet-native Social & Community Associate to help grow and engage Fanatics Sports & Casino’s presence across the social and community platforms where sports fans spend their time.

This role will be an important member of the Organic Social team, with a focus on Discord, Reddit, X, Facebook Groups, and emerging community platforms. You’ll support the day-to-day management, moderation, programming, and participation that help turn audiences into active communities.

As Fanatics brings sportsbook, prediction markets, and casino together in one all-in-one experience, you’ll help create engaging community experiences that give fans more reasons to interact with the brand beyond individual products or campaigns.

You’ll be equal parts community operator, social programmer, moderator, and sports fan — identifying conversations worth joining, helping bring community programs to life, and sharing what you’re seeing and hearing from fans with the broader team.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the day-to-day management and programming of Fanatics communities across Discord, Reddit, X, Facebook Groups, and other relevant platforms.
  • Help maintain an always-on community calendar covering conversations, recurring programs, activations, AMAs, giveaways, cultural moments, and sports tentpoles.
  • Be an active and authentic participant in online sports communities, joining conversations and engaging with fans rather than simply broadcasting content.
  • Moderate Fanatics-owned communities and help maintain a welcoming, engaging, and distinctly Fanatics voice.
  • Monitor emerging conversations, trends, memes, fan behaviors, and community moments and flag opportunities for timely content and engagement.
  • Help develop and execute community tactics around major sports moments, campaigns, product launches, promotions, and tentpole events.
  • Assist in building recurring community programs and experiences that encourage fans to return and participate.
  • Surface fan sentiment, feedback, trends, and notable conversations to the broader Organic Social team and relevant internal partners.
  • Partner with the broader Organic Social team to turn community conversations and insights into content and engagement opportunities across social platforms.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, Product, CRM, VIP, Responsible Gaming, and other teams to support community initiatives and activations.
  • Track community engagement, growth, and participation and help identify opportunities to improve programming.
  • Stay up to date on new platforms, online communities, and emerging trends, and help the team test new ways for Fanatics Sports & Casino to participate authentically.

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, community management, social programming, content, or a related field. Experience in sports, sports betting, gaming, entertainment, or media is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with social or community platforms such as Discord, Reddit, X, Facebook Groups, or similar online communities.
  • A strong understanding of sports culture, internet culture, and how fans interact online. Familiarity with sports betting or gaming is a plus.
  • A natural instinct for what gets people talking, sharing, and participating online.
  • Some experience with social moderation, community guidelines, or managing conversations in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice across different platforms.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks, conversations, and programs at once.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • A genuine passion for sports and a 24/7 curiosity about what fans are talking about online.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for events, activations, and team offsites.
  • Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and non-traditional hours as needed around major sporting events and tentpoles.
