Your Role:
As a Senior Back End Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services and infrastructure tailored specifically for web and In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. Leveraging your expertise in cloud platforms, you will build robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions to support seamless user experiences. You will participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, from concept and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment, with a strong emphasis on clean coding practices, system performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Backend Services: Design, implement, and sustain high-performance backend services for web and in-vehicle infotainment applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Implement Modern Backend Practices: Utilize Java and related frameworks (Spring Cloud, Dubbo) to build scalable, maintainable services that effectively support frontend interfaces and IVI systems.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and UX/UI teams to define clear API specifications and interface documents, ensuring seamless integration and excellent user experience.
- Optimize System Performance: Employ monitoring and performance optimization techniques to ensure backend services are efficient, responsive, and resilient under diverse conditions.
- Ensure Robust Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests, leveraging frameworks like JUnit, to maintain high code quality and reliability.
- Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and maintain applications leveraging cloud services (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional backend development experience with Java, specifically building high-quality, maintainable, and performant backend services.
- Strong proficiency with backend frameworks (Spring Cloud, Dubbo) and familiarity with data storage and message queuing systems (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, MQ).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
- Proven ability to build scalable, robust systems adhering to modern backend architectures and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience collaborating effectively within Agile teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese, as the role requires frequent communication and system development with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and partners in China. This language skill is essential for effective collaboration and successful project execution.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Nginx.
- Proficiency in version control practices, branching strategies, and release management using Git platforms (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab).
- Familiarity with AI programming tools and productivity enhancements (e.g., Cursor) to streamline development processes.
Annual Salary Range:
(120K - 150K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
