Facility Security Officer / Personnel Security Officer (FSO/PSO)

The Facility Security Officer / Personnel Security Officer (FSO/PSO) is responsible for the day-to-day administration of FTSG's Industrial Security Program supporting multiple classified contracts across the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.
The successful candidate will serve as the company's primary security representative and will ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community security requirements, customer-specific security directives, and applicable federal regulations.
This position will partner closely with executive leadership, program managers, human resources, recruiting, contracts, and government security representatives to support classified operations across multiple customer locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Industrial Security
-
Serve as the company's appointed Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Administer the company's facility clearance (FCL).
-
Maintain compliance with applicable security regulations and customer requirements.
-
Develop, maintain, and update company security policies and procedures.
-
Coordinate and support government security inspections and assessments.
-
Prepare for and successfully complete DCSA and customer security reviews.
-
Manage classified visits and visit authorizations.
-
Oversee secure handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information.
-
Manage classified meetings and security briefings.
-
Maintain facility accreditation documentation.
Personnel Security
-
Manage the complete personnel security lifecycle.
-
Process initial security clearances.
-
Process SCI nominations.
-
Manage polygraph requests and scheduling.
-
Submit security clearance actions.
-
Maintain personnel security records.
-
Coordinate indoctrinations and debriefings.
-
Conduct annual security refresher training.
-
Manage foreign travel reporting.
-
Manage foreign contact reporting.
-
Coordinate security incident reporting.
Program Security Support
Partner with Program Managers to:
-
Ensure contract security compliance.
-
Prepare DD254 implementation plans.
-
Review security requirements during proposal development.
-
Support transition planning.
-
Coordinate classified onboarding activities.
-
Manage subcontractor security coordination.
-
Support customer security meetings.
Security Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
-
NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117)
-
DCSA guidance
-
Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
-
Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs)
-
Customer-specific security requirements
-
Insider Threat Program requirements
-
Classified contract security requirements
Security Systems Administration
Maintain security information within government systems including:

DISS
-
NBIS (as implemented)
-
NISS
-
Customer-specific security systems
-
Visit request systems
Leadership
-
Advise executive leadership regarding security risks.

Develop security metrics and dashboards.
-
Recommend process improvements.
-
Lead security awareness initiatives.
-
Support company growth into new classified customers.
-
Assist with acquisition due diligence related to security matters.
-
Coordinate with IT regarding cybersecurity and physical security requirements.
Required Qualifications
-
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
-
U.S. Citizenship.
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
-
Minimum of 8 years supporting Industrial Security programs.
-
Minimum of 5 years serving as an FSO or Assistant FSO.
-
Thorough knowledge of NISPOM requirements.
-
Experience supporting classified contracts within the Intelligence Community.
-
Experience utilizing DISS, NISS, and other government security systems.
-
Experience processing personnel security actions.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications

Completion of DCSA FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum.

Experience supporting NSA, NGA, CIA, or other Intelligence Community customers.

Experience with SCI facilities and SAP security requirements.
-
Experience supporting CMMC compliance initiatives.
-
Experience supporting Insider Threat programs.
-
Experience with classified proposal development.
-
Experience supporting multiple cleared facilities.
-
Professional security certifications (ISP®, CPP®, PSP®, SFPC, or similar).

Success in This Role
Within the first year, the successful candidate will:

Maintain a highly effective and compliant Industrial Security Program.

Successfully support all government security inspections.

Improve security processes and documentation.

Enhance onboarding efficiency for cleared personnel.

Partner with executive leadership to strengthen FTSG's security posture.

Develop security metrics that provide visibility into clearance processing, visit requests, training completion, compliance activities, and overall program health.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $130,000.00 and $180,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
