Who You Are:

The Head of Mortgage for GalaxyOne will be an entrepreneurial, results-oriented leader responsible for building and scaling a mortgage product from the ground up. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the mortgage industry, a proven track record of innovation, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The successful candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and leadership skills to create a customer-centric mortgage offering that aligns with GalaxyOne’s mission to redefine retail financial services.

What You’ll Do:

• Product Development & Strategy: Design and develop a competitive, customer-focused mortgage product tailored for the GalaxyOne platform, integrating innovative technology and user-friendly features.
• Launch & Execution: Oversee the end-to-end launch of the mortgage product, including regulatory compliance, operational setup, and go-to-market strategy.
• Growth & Scaling: Drive adoption and growth of the mortgage product through strategic partnerships, marketing initiatives, and continuous product enhancements.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing mortgage team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all mortgage operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
• Partnerships & Vendor Management: Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including lenders, technology providers, and regulatory bodies.
• Customer Experience: Champion a seamless, tech-driven customer experience that differentiates GalaxyOne’s mortgage offering in the market.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure product success, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, reporting progress to senior leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in the mortgage industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing mortgage product development, operations, or strategy.
• Licensing: Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven ability to build and scale products or businesses in dynamic, competitive environments, with a track record of innovation and adaptability.
• Technical Acumen: Familiarity with fintech platforms, digital lending technologies, and blockchain-based solutions is a plus.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of mortgage regulations, including TILA, RESPA, and state-specific licensing requirements.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams, inspire innovation, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling vision to internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
