Job Summary:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for release management, developing cloud deployment strategies. He will design, implement, maintain scalable and reliable build, release, and deployment pipelines. The role involves working closely with developers, Infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations across the entire software lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and practices, strong scripting abilities, and expertise in managing cloud infrastructure.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines tailored to .NET applications, SQL Server.
  • Build and maintain tools and scripts for automated builds, deployments, and monitoring (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Integrate and configure tools like SonarQube and Veracode in the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous code scanning for quality and security.
  • Configure CI/CD pipelines to run NUnit tests and generate detailed test results.
  • Create pipelines to execute QA automation test scripts and produce comprehensive coverage reports.
  • Manage and improve Source Control Management (SCM) workflows using GitHub, Azure Repos, and SVN.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and propagate best practices for DevOps and cloud solutions.
  • Define and maintain disaster recovery solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Oversee the creation and management of Golden AMIs for seamless deployment.
  • Implement and manage solutions in cloud environments such as AWS.
  • Ensure compliance with security and other standards across build and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor build and deployment processes to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Utilize and manage build tools like MS Build, .NET Core, and Node.js for efficient build processes.
  • Manage and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, including AirWatch and Microsoft Endpoint Intune.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors / Master’s in engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Build and Release Engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SCM tools like GitHub, Azure Repos, and SVN.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with Azure.
  • Knowledge of integrating and using tools like SonarQube and Veracode for code quality and security scanning.
  • Experience configuring pipelines to run NUnit tests, execute QA automation scripts, and generate coverage reports.
  • Strong knowledge of build tools like MS Build, .NET Core, and Node.js.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET applications and SQL Server in a DevOps context.
  • Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools like AirWatch and Microsoft Endpoint Intune.
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining Golden AMIs with tools like Packer.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Experience implementing disaster recovery solutions.
  • Solid understanding of automated deployment and configuration management practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a passion for process improvement and automation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies.
