Supply Chain Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive purchasing strategy to optimize procurement costs, enhance supply chain efficiency, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers of raw materials, components, and supplies, ensuring they meet Gotion Inc.'s stringent quality and sustainability standards.
  • Conduct thorough supplier evaluations, assessing factors such as quality, cost, reliability, and capacity to meet production requirements.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with Gotion Inc.'s business objectives.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively, balancing the need to maintain adequate stock for production with the objective of minimizing carrying costs.
  • Monitor supply chain performance, identifying potential disruptions, shortages, or price fluctuations and proactively implementing contingency plans to minimize impact on production.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure that purchased materials and components meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, supply chain optimization, and innovation in procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the battery manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing supplier contracts, achieving cost savings, and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • In-depth understanding of battery manufacturing processes and the specific raw materials, components, and supplies required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of supply chain management software and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing supplier evaluation and selection methodologies.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with e-procurement platforms and technologies.

 

 
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $70k –$130k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range listed in the job posting represents the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
