Sr Business Systems Analyst

Summary

Responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders to drive strategic technology initiatives and optimize organizational systems. This role involves identifying, configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications to meet business needs while ensuring seamless integration across key systems, including Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Dynamics 365FO), SharePoint, and Azure Data Management. Additionally, the Senior Analyst provides thought leadership in process improvement, project planning, and system governance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads strategic discussions with cross-functional stakeholders to define and prioritize system requirements and enterprise-level solutions.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders, guiding decision-making on technology investments to align with organizational goals.
  • Mentors and guides junior analysts and team members, fostering skill development and professional growth.
  • Develops and maintains a systems architecture roadmap, aligns technology solutions with organizational goals, and oversees multi-year technology planning.
  • Oversees end-to-end project management for system implementations, including managing risks, timelines, and stakeholders for successful delivery.
  • Leads change management efforts for system implementations and upgrades, including stakeholder communication and impact analysis.
  • Designs and implements advanced configurations and customizations for enterprise systems to optimize business processes.
  • Collaborates with IT teams to enforce data security protocols, compliance requirements, and best practices in data management.
  • Comply with company Information Security requirements and policies.
  • Manages vendor relationships, including negotiation, performance tracking, and ensuring adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Leads training initiatives for users at all levels, promoting organizational adoption of technology solutions.
  • Monitors and evaluates system performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, propose targeted improvements, and implement enhancements that optimize functionality and user experience.
  • Continuously researches emerging technology trends and best practices in the field to recommend system improvements and enhancements.
  • Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work, and working full shifts.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, etc.), and a minimum of five years of experience in a role similar to Business Systems Analyst. Preferred qualifications include advanced expertise in administering Dynamics 365FO, SharePoint, and Azure Data Management.

Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable IS (Information Systems) solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a critical thinking approach to address challenges during system implementation and integration.
  • Proficient project management skills, including the management of timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technical proficiency in one or more of the following applications: Dynamics 365FO, MS Power Platform, SQL Server, MS Office, SharePoint, and Azure Data Management stack.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining software environments, involving development in a test setting and subsequent transition to production.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, accounting software, databases, design tools, HR software, internet/intranet solutions, application development tools, CRM software, project management software, and office productivity software.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to evolving technology landscapes and changing business requirements, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong background in customer service and adeptness in technical writing.
  • Proficiency in comprehending and interpreting business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Capacity to address practical problems and navigate situations with limited standardization, interpreting instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Availability to be on call as required for system issue resolution.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, when necessary.
  • Capacity to maintain focus and remain seated for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.


The expected WA salary range for this position is between $82,000.00 - $113,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
