Interiors Shop Supervisor - VIP
Summary
Highly skilled and detail-oriented Aviation VVIP Upholstery Supervisor to oversee and manage high-end interior upholstery and cabinetry work on VVIP aircraft. This role requires expertise in panel covering, carpet and non-textile flooring (NTF) installation, carpet surging, and sewing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation interior completions, with a focus on quality craftsmanship, team leadership, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of VVIP aircraft upholstery projects including:
Panel covering: Fitment and application of premium materials (e.g., leather, fabric, suede) to various aircraft panels.
Carpet and NTF installation: Accurate layout, trimming, and bonding of carpets and non-textile flooring in cabins and crew areas.
Carpet surging: Ensure high-quality edge finishing of carpets with appropriate binding or stitching methods.
Sewing: Direct and participate in the sewing of seat covers, curtains, cushions, and other soft goods using industrial sewing machines.
Cabinet repair / finish: Perform VVIP cabinet and finish repairs as assigned.
Supervise a team of upholsterers, providing guidance, training, and quality control to ensure all tasks meet VVIP and OEM standards.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Project Management teams to ensure timely and compliant execution of work orders.
Review drawings, specifications, and work instructions to plan materials and workflow.
Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify workmanship and material integrity.
Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and time tracking for each project.
Ensure all safety and regulatory requirements are met within the upholstery work area.
Support aircraft completion activities as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years’ experience preferred. Minimum eight years’ experience in aviation upholstery with at least two years’ experience in a supervisory or lead role required.
This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 - $124,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law. Sr. VIP Interiors Installer

Summary
The Senior VIP Interiors Installer is responsible for the installation, modification, and refurbishment of VIP luxury aircraft interior components in accordance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This role requires precise craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-standard completion environment.
This is a temporary position through an agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, fit, and assemble VIP aircraft interior components including panels, monuments, upholstery, cabinetry, flooring, and decorative finishes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, installation instructions, and work orders accurately.
Ensure all installations meet quality standards, specifications, and FAA regulations.
Perform layout and preparation work, including measurements, marking, cutting, and pre-fitting materials and components.
Modify interior parts as needed, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve installation challenges and maintain schedule compliance.
Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to the standards required for VIP completions.
