Position
We're seeking an engaged Technical Business Analyst to join our team. In this hybrid role, you'll combine your technical skills and your knowledge of financial market data in data content investigations, technical analysis, project and vendor management, identification of specific data content sets complying with the requirements of the business and gaining an understanding of the technical and business stakeholders' demands and dependencies to ensure alignment of business strategies with operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Discovery and Evaluation of newly required Data Contents Sets across existing and new data feeds
- Capturing Data Requirements in technical Specifications and translating new business needs into use cases.
- Coordinate and Manage project tasks with in-house teams.
- Liaising and Coordinating with technical and business representatives of suppliers on behalf of in-house teams.
- Sketching and designing new Data Flows and testing them with an end-to-end Proof of Concept.
- Contributing to Data Supplier evaluation projects.
- Regular communication with Business Stakeholders.
- Data Content Validation, Cross Checks, Content Investigations, and Technical Analysis.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data flows and participate in improvement initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Math or a related field. Technical adaptability will be required for this role.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Understanding various financial products (equities, derivatives, cryptocurrencies, fixed income) and key market data players.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail while maintaining an eye on the bigger picture.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, basic proficiency in SQL and Unix/Linux.
- Experience with Scripting in Shell, Perl, Python, etc. is desirable.
