Apprentice - Procurement

Your Role

As an Apprentice- Procurement , you will be an integral part of our Procurement team, working towards overseeing our procurement requirements and conducting market research. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Excel, be proficient in managing procurement processes through JIRA, and possess strong analytical skills to evaluate vendors and benchmark costs effectively.

A Day in the Life

  • Procurement Management :Oversee and manage procurement requirements through the JIRA portal. Ensure timely and accurate procurement of IT-related goods and services. 
  • Market Research : Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential new vendors for IT needs. Evaluate vendors based on their potential, cost, and reliability.
  • Cost Benchmarking : Benchmark procurement costs with existing vendors and compare with quotes from new vendors. Perform cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing. 
  • Reporting and Analysis :Generate detailed reports from the procurement system. Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for improving procurement processes and vendor selection.
  • Vendor Management :Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues. Maintain effective communication with vendors to foster strong working relationships.

What You Need

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration (BBA), Commerce (B.Com), Computer Applications (BCA), or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and report generation. 
  •  Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to benchmark and compare costs effectively. 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
