IronMountain Solutions is seeking a Test Lead in Huntsville, AL to support our customer at Redstone Arsenal, AL in the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) program office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Test Engineer supporting the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Program Office, responsible for supporting test & evaluation across UAS products.
- Develop budget, schedule, and performance documentation for upcoming and ongoing test programs.
- Support PdM Uncrewed Launch and Command (ULC) Tech Chief and PM test team to include: planning and execution of Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), component and system level test programs, and test documentation.
- Review and adjudicate submitted Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) artifacts to include Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, and specifications.
- Provide input to scopes of work (SOWs) to ensure appropriate test activities and CDRLs are incorporated.
- Advise and assist with developing suitable test requirements based on external shareholder expectations.
- Engage with external T&E organizations including Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC), Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E), and Director, Development Test, Evaluation, & Assessments (D,DTE&A)
- Coordinate and assist in the development of Airworthiness Releases (AWRs).
- Provide written and verbal assessments to management regarding status, issues, and risk.
- Attend and provide feedback for Test & Evaluation Working-level Integrated Product Team (T&E WIPT) meetings, Combined Test Team (CTT) meetings, contract gate reviews, Technical Interface Meetings (TIMs), design reviews, and other test & technical meetings.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Education and General experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Experience planning & executing test programs.
- Experience with aircraft (Rotor/Fixed Wing) flight test experience
- Knowledge of Test & Evaluation procedures & practices.
- Ability to support Government leads and work within a test team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
Skills, Competencies and Abilities:
- Developing, reviewing, and coordinating test plans, schedules, reports, and similar test documentation.
- Developing Lifecycle or Acquisition milestone documentation.
- Preparing and presenting briefings and technical papers to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel >25%
Clearance Requirements: Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance or a transferrable Secret Clearance. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance.
