About the Position
The Claims Coordinator role at ITS is responsible for coordinating all efforts across the asset-lite division as it relates to claims on ITS assets (trailers). The incumbent must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized. Under the supervision of the Manager of Asset Maintenance, the Claims Coordinator plays a crucial role to our asset-lite strategy and comes with the following responsibilities:
· Triage repair requests and route to the appropriate claims pipeline accordingly.
· Enter and maintain asset claim details into the Asset Management System.
· Collect all pertinent information about the claim from multiple parties including all applicable details, i.e. pre/post trip inspections, photos, carrier documentation, customer requirements, etc. · Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure maximum collection of funds for an ITS asset claim for damage.
· Responsible for managing claims in each stage of the lifecycle from initiation through collection of funds.
· Coordinate communication between brokerage teams and the legal team to collect funds as quickly as possible.
· Create and maintain routine reporting to measure results and effectiveness of the claims process.
· Key Performance Metric is to increase funds collected from third parties as a result of a claim, i.e. carrier, customer, vendor, etc. and to decrease cycle time of receiving funds.
· Manage the claims aging process to the highest levels of efficiency.
About the Requirements
· 1 year minimum experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or related field.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Legal, Project Management and/or related field preferred.
· Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment required.
· Highly collaborative, team oriented with high emotional intelligence.
· Highly adaptive and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite
· Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize tasks.
· Comfortable communicating via phone and email to recover funds with third parties
