Vice President - West (Paving)

We are looking to hire the Vice President over our Paving Western Operation for our office in Phoenix, AZ. This role will be responsible for leading the overall management, direction, expansion, and implementation of projects, initiatives, and business development within the Western region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops, executes, and directs the planned initiatives and projects for the groups across assigned market(s) and expansion into other states within the Western region.
  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure the group meets and exceeds business goals.
  • Directs the work of the Group in the allocation of resources to ensure a high level of organization, cooperation, communication, and accuracy in managing the relationship and operational issues of all projects.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, estimators, field staff etc.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
  • Formulates strategies for best positioning such as early outreach to clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Grows, builds, and nurtures relationships in the targeted business markets with clients, and suppliers.
  • Creates and sustains an effective network of contacts in the targeted business markets through trade, subcontractor, material supplier, industry, and professional organizations.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the industry.
  • Utilize market insights to make informed decisions and adjust the division's strategy as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Interfaces effectively with all Groups and Business Units within the Keeley Companies.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 15+ years' in the paving, asphalt, concrete or related industries performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite
