Assistant Project Manager

Our Civil team is looking for an Assistant Project Manager that assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of various projects under the supervision of the project manager. This position will play a vital role in supporting project teams, maintaining project schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring that project objectives are met. Additionally, Assistant Project Managers may help with stakeholder communication and documentation to facilitate the smooth progress of projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate work and correspondence between all project team members
  • Manage all documentation related to construction project
  • Assist in bid solicitation, estimate functions and estimate takeoffs.
  • Prepare and maintain submittal/RFI logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications 
  • Document and communicate scope changes and other related project impacts to project team 
  • Coordinate the change proposal, review and submission process 
  • Assist the Project Manager in monitoring EVM and production rates 
  • Distribute construction documents to subcontractors. Including drawings, specifications, and general conditions including any accepted alternatives or addendums with documents 
  • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes 
  • Collect and prepare all required project close-out documents 
  • Participate in all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, designers, and owners 
  • Prepare correspondence with Owner, Engineers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, which include, schedule of values, project schedule, memos, request for information, transmittals, and submittals 
  • Solicit subcontractor interest in sub-scopes for estimates under the directions of the project estimator 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Internship experience performing the similar primary responsibilities listed, desired.
  • Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements.
