We are looking to hire an Asphalt Paving Foreman for our Paving team in New Braunfels, TX. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for asphalt paving projects. 
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. 
  • Schedule and assign tasks to the paving crew members, considering project priorities and crew capabilities. 
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to address them. 
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce adherence to safety regulations and company policies. 
  • Ensure the proper application of asphalt paving techniques, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitor the quality of materials used, such as asphalt mixtures, aggregates, and additives, and report any deviations. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed work to identify and address any deficiencies or non-compliance issues. 
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of paving equipment, such as asphalt pavers, rollers, and compactors. 
  • Coordinate with the equipment maintenance team to schedule routine maintenance and repairs as necessary. 
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, crew hours, equipment usage, and materials consumed. 
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, productivity, and any incidents or safety concerns. 
  • Collaborate with project managers to provide input for project cost estimation, change orders, and scheduling adjustments. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years in the construction industry. 
  • Previous experience in asphalt and paving operations preferred. 
  • Understanding of construction materials, techniques, and safety procedures. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work. 
  • In-depth knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, materials, and equipment. 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team. 
  • Valid driver’s license
