Accounting Manager

Keeley Construction is looking to hire an Accounting Manager in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and maintain monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
  • Ensure reconciliations are complete, accurate, properly supported, and resolved timely.
  • Prepare and post monthly and ad-hoc journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.
  • Assist the Assistant Controller and Controller with the monthly close process, including variance analysis and financial statement support.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing schedules, support, and explanations as needed.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements related to reconciliations, close, and documentation.
  • Support special accounting and finance projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a resource to junior accounting staff by providing guidance and review support when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or construction industry required.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • CPA or audit experience (public accounting or internal audit) preferred.
  • Experience with CMiC construction ERP system (or similar construction ERP platforms) preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-company environments preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet close deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
