The Corporate Development Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term growth strategy through mergers & acquisitions (M&A), partnerships, and market intelligence.

You will collaborate with senior leadership across Finance, Product, GTM, and Legal to identify, evaluate, and execute opportunities that accelerate our mission to be the global leader in Human Risk Management.

The Corporate Development Manager is not only a deal-maker but also a strategic architect. The role exists to connect market intelligence, competitive insights, and financial analysis into actionable growth strategies that shape the company’s multi-year trajectory in the Human Risk Management (HRM) cybersecurity space.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze trends in cybersecurity, specifically Human Risk Management, AI/ML and adjacent segments, in addition to emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and competitive moves.
  • Understand KnowBe4 product offering, company history, org chart, and strategic business objectives.
  • Evaluate the KnowBe4 product portfolio to identify gaps or overlaps, and recommend strategic investments or divestitures.
  • Source, evaluate and maintain a database of potential acquisition targets (technology tuck-ins, market expansions, talent acquisitions) as well as partnership opportunities that align with the company’s strategic priorities
  • Map the broader cybersecurity ecosystem (partners, vendors, competitors) to find leverage points for alliances, integrations, or joint ventures.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for joint ventures, strategic alliances, or minority investments that enhance the product ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain relationships with venture capital firms, bankers to gain insight into market trends, competition and to contribute to target pipeline.
  • Build and examine financial models, pro forma analysis, and provide business plans for each corporate transactions
  • Provide data-driven recommendations on resource allocation—R&D vs. marketing vs. acquisition budgets.
  • Manage due diligence processes: coordinate with internal teams, target and external advisors and stakeholders
  • Support negotiation of term sheets, purchase agreements, and integration plans.
  • Support the integration of the acquired company by aligning strategy, operations, and culture to achieve the deal’s financial and strategic objectives. Oversee cross-functional teams to harmonize systems, processes, and talent while monitoring key milestones and synergy targets.
  • Work with newly acquired businesses to achieve investment thesis and track performance of key metrics
  • Identify, document, and execute on improvements to the overall M&A process including sourcing, diligence, integration and planning.
  • Contribute to the company’s long-range plan (LRP) by assessing market trends, technology shifts (e.g., AI/ML in HRM), and competitive dynamics to identify growth arenas and threats.
  • Create executive-level presentations and Board materials synthesizing market trends, opportunities and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or similar analytical field; MBA preferred
  • Connect market trends to actionable opportunities by assessing core and adjacent markets, size opportunities, and create build-vs-buy-vs-partner strategies
  • Understanding of cybersecurity trends, Human Risk Management, and relevant regulations
  • Clear, persuasive written and verbal presentation of complex analyses to executives, board members, and external stakeholders
  • Builds trust and alignment across functions via strong collaboration with Finance, Product, Engineering, Content, Legal, Infosec and GTM teams. Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing M&A, partnerships, and post-merger integration
  • Excellent negotiation and project management skills
  • High integrity, intellectual curiosity, adaptability in a fast-growth environment, and the ability to balance detail orientation with big-picture vision
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and scenario planning with deep knowledge of SaaS metrics

The base pay for this position ranges from $148,000 - $160,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
