Key Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead a critical function focused on deploying, optimizing, and scaling advanced quantitative and machine learning models for credit rating decisions.
- This role involves designing technical infrastructure, implementing distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Dask, Kubernetes), automating processes with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and developing CI/CD pipelines.
- The position requires collaboration across quantitative modeling and IT teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable model deployment.
- Proficiency in R, Python, and cloud platforms, along with a strong understanding of financial and credit rating standards, is essential.
- Telecommuting permitted within a normal commuting distance of NY office.
- Must report to office 3 days per week.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative or engineering discipline
- 3 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Engineer, or related role, with expertise in deploying and testing quantitative models and managing infrastructure
- 3 years of experience in Python and R application development, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and Flask, as well as R packages like Plumber and Shiny;
- 3 years of experience in Data Engineering and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), including deploying and testing code for quantitative models
- 3 years of experience with data engineering processes, including building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL workflows, and leveraging distributed computing frameworks such as Dask, as well as managing CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git
- 2 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform), containerization/orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and Linux server automation, emphasizing platform security and compliance in mission-critical environments
- 2 years of experience in managing platforms like Posit (formerly RStudio) or similar environments for quantitative modeling
- 2 years of experience utilizing quantitative skills for financial modeling and cash flow analysis
- Must successfully complete competency-based interview.
Expected salary range is $125,528.00 to $150,000.00/year.
