Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mixed Methods User Researcher to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who excels in qualitative moderation, survey analysis, and storytelling through research, and thrives in a fast-paced, iterative product environment. You will lead end-to-end research initiatives, partnering cross-functionally to deliver impactful insights that guide product innovation and design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope study objectives, research questions, and methodologies tailored to product team needs
  • Apply both qualitative and quantitative approaches including surveys, interviews, and usability testing
  • Manage all aspects of the research lifecycle: study design, participant recruitment, logistics, and moderation (remote and in-person)
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights that shape product strategy and design decisions
  • Effectively communicate results through compelling written reports and presentations tailored to diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate insights into development workflows

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX research experience, either in-house at Fortune 500 companies or in a consultancy setting
  • Advanced degree preferred in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field
  • Proven ability to apply the appropriate research methods throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts into clear recommendations
  • Highly adaptable and organized; able to manage multiple projects with varied scope and timelines in a fast-evolving environment

Location: Remote (Must be local to Greater Seattle area)

Role type: Contract 12+ Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (Extended schedule as needed Saturday-Sunday)
