Our customers include Google, GE, and NBC Universal, and we partner with leaders such as Google, Atlassian, and Microsoft.

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who loves the thrill of the win? Do you look at complex technical challenges as an opportunity for creativity? If so, we want you on our team.

We are looking for a sharp, inquisitive, and passionate Sales Engineer to join our EMEA team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will bring our visual collaboration suite (Lucidchart & Lucidspark) to life for our largest customers. Partnering directly with our Enterprise Sales team, you will serve as the technical lead —bridging the gap between complex business problems and powerful, elegant solutions.

Ultimately, you’ll be the trusted technical partner who shows our enterprise clients how to unlock value, visualize complexity, and work smarter using Lucid.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and deliver high-impact, tailored technical demonstrations that showcase the value of the Lucid platform to prospects and enterprise executive stakeholders.
  • Run deep technical discovery to uncover client pain points, and quickly shape a compelling narrative around business value.
  • Lead strategic customer pilots and onsite workshops - defining technical success criteria, establishing clear ROI, and guiding training sessions.
  • Serve as the product Subject Matter Expert (SME) both internally for our sales organization and externally for our customers.
  • Act as the link between the field and our product organization, translating customer signals into actionable feedback to influence our roadmap.
  • Innovation - use creativity and strategic thinking to optimize SE operations, build reusable assets, and scale team impact.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience thriving as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or in a similar customer-facing enterprise role.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. Can command a room (or a Zoom call), practices active listening, and translates complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Dynamic Presenter: Highly adaptable in the room. You don't rely on a rigid script and are perfectly comfortable pivoting from a structured presentation into a fluid discussion to meet the customer exactly where they are.
  • Solution-Oriented Mindset: A natural bias toward action and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. You focus on how to make innovative ideas work rather than finding reasons to shut them down.
  • Team Collaboration: Highly collaborative, proactive, and values-driven. You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional team environments.
  • Cultural Alignment: Genuinely connected to Lucid’s products, mission, and vibrant, continuous-learning culture.
  • Location: Ability to work out of our Amsterdam office twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for customer on-sites and industry conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in a major European language. German is a strong plus.
  • A continuous learner who actively stays ahead of industry trends and the rapidly changing AI and tech landscape.
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives within large enterprise organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with coding, advanced data manipulation (like complex Excel/Google Sheets modeling), or other technical software tools.
  • Familiarity with standard diagramming frameworks (such as BPMN, UML, or Cloud Architecture mapping).
  • An eye for design and a knack for building polished, aesthetically pleasing presentations and visual assets.
  • Experience navigating or implementing Scrum/Agile methodologies.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
