Configuration Manager / Change Management Specialist
About the Position

Join our team as a Configuration Manager / Change Management Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in coordinating document and change control activities for multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure projects. This is a long term, part-time (16-20 hrs/wk), on-site position located in Norwalk, CA.
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Updating, maintaining and managing data in Primavera Unifier and/or Procore.
- Managing, maintaining, and performing audits of the Project's online SharePoint and Procore collaboration portals.
- Managing and maintaining the Project's hard copy document library that includes engineering drawings, technical specifications, technical and environmental reports, operations and maintenance manuals, testing reports, and other related documents.
- Managing the document control process and files for all Project documents including submittals, RFls/RFCs, general correspondence, project reports, meeting minutes and other records. Maintaining document control logs and action item logs, log design/document comments, and report on status of open items. Distributing documents and maintaining controlled distribution lists.
- Managing the change control process and files for all contract changes, preparing reports, and managing all records regarding contract change issues.
- Receiving notifications from contractor(s) and distributing to designated reviewers.
- Compiling comments from designated reviewers.
- Inputting and generating control data; logging, tracking, and routing data for review and approval; analyzing and identifying problems and recommending solutions; and transmitting data to contractors.
- Inputting comments in the Project Management Information System.
- Tracking and reporting all construction submittals, RFls/RFCs, and correspondence.
- Assisting in maintaining, updating, and ensuring that staff and consultants adhere to policies and procedures.
- Reviewing contracts, records, and other documents for compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assisting in coordinating approval for changes to contracts and documents.
- Preparing various reports, minutes, and records.
- Assisting in implementing policies and procedures for contract changes, document control, and record management.
- Assisting in maintaining project records and related databases in accordance with our client’s configuration management procedures.
- Managing the change control process and files for all contract changes, preparing reports, and managing all records regarding contract change issues.
- Assisting in preparing project closeout documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ similar work experience in a configuration management or office engineer role (as described in the responsibilities of this position posting), including 2+ years of relevant experience working on heavy civil construction/transit related projects.
- Expertise in configuration management processes, policies, and systems (as described in the responsibilities of this position posting).
- Proficiency in contract documentation, change control, and records management.
- Ability to analyze and process contractual documentation for compliance.
- Understanding of laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to configuration management.
- Experience with document control enterprise systems (e.g., Unifier).
- Proficiency with MS SharePoint and Bluebeam.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing configuration management work for multi-million-dollar heavy construction/transit related projects.
- Experience with database reporting.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $104k-$154k/yr ($50-$74/hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
