Account Manager

Overview:

As an Account Manager at Minitab, you will serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned customers and prospects, operating within a virtual team-selling environment. You’ll be responsible for managing a defined geographic or industry-based territory, focusing on developing new business opportunities (including new logo acquisition, upsell, cross-sell, and services) as well as securing renewals and expanding existing relationships.

This role blends strategic account management with hands-on sales execution. You’ll work to understand your clients' needs, promote the value of Minitab’s solutions, and build lasting customer partnerships that drive satisfaction and revenue growth. Your performance will be evaluated based on metrics such as customer retention, Net Promoter Score, customer satisfaction, and growth in annual recurring revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage relationships with assigned accounts, acting as their trusted advisor.

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.

  • Drive renewals, upsells, and cross-sells to grow account value.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and build referenceable client relationships.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing customer success.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in inside sales, business development, or customer success, preferably in the IT, software, or analytics sector.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas or objectives.

  • Business Intelligence or Statistical Analytics experience is a strong advantage.

  • Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate or technical college degrees will also be considered.
