IT Support Technician
Location: Coventry | Type: Full-time | Travel: Occasional, including international travel
Are you a hands-on IT professional with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to keep business operations running smoothly? Minitab is looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Technician to join our team!
In this dynamic role, you’ll deliver front-line desktop support across a Windows environment, troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues, and ensure our users are empowered with the tools they need to succeed. You’ll work in a collaborative, ITIL-based helpdesk environment, supporting Dell and Mac hardware, conference room technology, and mobile devices, while also contributing to exciting IT projects and cybersecurity initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
🔧 Desktop & Hardware Support (80%)

Provide expert support for Windows desktops, Dell laptops, printers, peripherals, and software.

Offer basic support for mobile devices and Mac systems.

Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of applications and hardware setups.

Maintain accurate, ITIL-compliant documentation of issues and solutions.

Support collaboration tools and AV equipment in conference rooms.
🛠️ Project Involvement (10%)

Assist in IT project work such as software deployments, system upgrades, and patch management.

Work closely with network engineers, analysts, and IT leadership to resolve complex technical challenges.
🔐 Cybersecurity Support (10%)

Promote cybersecurity best practices across the organization.

Assist in the resolution of security issues, including malware and password management.
What You Bring:

4+ years of hands-on IT support experience in enterprise and cloud-based environments.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems, Office 365 (M365), and desktop software.

Familiarity with Dell hardware, conference room tech, and basic Mac troubleshooting.

A degree in Computer Technology or a related field (preferred).

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, travel as needed (including internationally), and work flexible hours when required.

Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- A full UK drivers' license and access to your own vehicle.
