Overview
We are searching for Java Developers to join our rapidly growing Hyderabad Center of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing and implementing products. Additional responsibilities include reviewing technical requirements and developing code in a variety of programming languages for a web-based enterprise application.
- Working Hours: 6pm - 3am IST
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor application performance: Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks to keep the software running efficiently.
- Mentor junior engineers: Share knowledge and expertise with junior developers to help them grow their technical skills and understanding of the codebase. This may involve code reviews, providing guidance on best practices, and answering questions.
- Maintain and improve the health of Java applications: This includes fixing bugs, implementing updates, and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate across teams: Work with developers, testers, and stakeholders to understand needs and ensure successful maintenance.
- Document software changes: Keep clear records of modifications and the reasoning behind them.
- Participate in code refactoring projects: Help improve the codebase structure and maintainability through code refactoring initiatives.
- Create and maintain unit and regression tests: Write automated tests to verify code functionality and prevent regressions during updates.
- Perform code reviews: Review code changes from other developers to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities: Help maintain the security of Java applications by staying informed of potential threats and implementing security best practices.
- Communicate with Clients: This includes verbal and written communication with Clients while addressing software issues.
Requirements & Skills:
- 8+ years of experience with Java development
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-reliant and motivated self-starter
- Ability to reason logically and provide innovative solutions
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with the following: Java and JavaScript, Web Services, RDBMS DDL & SQL, Hibernate or other ORM, Spring Framework, JUnit or other testing framework
- Working Hours: 6pm - 3am IST
Desired Skilled & Experience:
- Software programming coursework
- Successful completion of projects where programming languages, ideally Java, are put to use to solve problems
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum)
- Experience using the Eclipse IDE or other similar developer environments
