Turn Financial Data Into Actionable Business Decisions Across a Growing CPG Business

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A supports financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the business. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to provide financial insight that improves decision-making, supports growth initiatives, and increases operational visibility.

Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, this role plays a key hands-on role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis within a fast-moving CPG environment. The role requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations.

The Role

This role owns core FP&A responsibilities including forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, and financial modeling. The Senior Financial Analyst will support leadership decision-making by identifying risks, opportunities, and performance drivers across the business.

The role operates cross-functionally and regularly partners with commercial and operational stakeholders to evaluate pricing, trade investment, promotional effectiveness, product profitability, and supply chain impacts. Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, comfort working with large datasets, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning activities
  • Build and maintain customer-specific forecasts incorporating trade spend, pricing, commodity costs, and consumer demand trends
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis and management reporting packages
  • Develop KPI dashboards and financial reporting to support leadership decision-making
  • Build financial models for new product launches, pricing analysis, profitability analysis, and ad hoc business cases
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate business initiatives and performance drivers
  • Analyze promotional effectiveness, product portfolio performance, and cost savings opportunities
  • Improve reporting processes and data analytics capabilities through existing platforms and AI-enabled tools
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support executive-level presentations

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in FP&A or Commercial/Category Finance within the CPG, food and beverage industry
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, and macros
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP principles, and CPG financial metrics including gross margin, trade spend, and category profitability
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into business recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
  • High attention to detail combined with strong business and commercial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly as business needs evolve
