Seasonal Graphic Designer/Animator, Social Lab (REHIRES)

Summary/Objective:

The NFL is seeking a Graphic Designer to create engaging and cutting-edge visual content for the NFL's official social platforms, as well as other NFL-affiliated channels, teams, and players. The right candidate has a passion for football, social media and storytelling, and has a drive to create new and innovative original content. We're looking for someone who can create beautiful, custom social graphics (both static and animated), as well as AR activations through Instagram Stories and Snapchat, that will help populate the official NFL social media handles with dynamic and engaging content. In this role, you will work with a large creative team of designers, illustrators, editors, and copywriters to conceive and execute on multiple daily deliverables and long-term projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and animate various graphics and other creative needs for the NFL's official social platforms and other NFL-affiliated social platforms, teams, and players.
  • Work with large creative team made up of designers, illustrators, editors, and copywriters to conceive and executive multiple daily projects.
  • Pitch and conceptualize original content ideas and franchises for NFL social media platforms.
  • Manage the story telling behind each creative output to ensure it is clear, concise, snackable and true to the content
  • Identify important storylines from around the NFL and know how to best tell them to our audience

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in graphic design and animation
  • Must have prior experience building and animating assets on social and/or digital platforms
  • Must have a Design portfolio containing various examples of relevant work
  • Strong ability with Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator are must-have’s. Video Editing Skills, Facebook’s Spark AR, and Snapchat Lens Studio experience are a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be willing to work early mornings, nights, and weekends due to the nature of the NFL schedule
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of football and the NFL audience is a major plus
  • Must be adaptable and able to work quickly under short deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback into revised work
  • Must be able to handle concept changes and accept creative feedback

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics:

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
